Wow. We have gotten to the last month of this year. I honestly cannot believe that it arrived so fast and suddenly. Wasn't it just yesterday that we were figuring out where to watch the 4th of July fireworks?!
The cold and blistery months are here. The 60-plus degree weather of Wednesday was a little practical joke of mother nature. We are about to buckle down for the months of serious hibernation. We don't get out as often, we tend to eat heartier meals. We typically become slightly lazier versions of ourselves. And that is totally ok! Who doesn't want to be sitting by the fire, drinking hot cocoa on the cold days? I certainly do.
But I have to counteract the lack of outdoor exercise with what I eat. I can't just live off of pot roast and beef bourguignon (or can I?!). I have to refocus my attention to putting real healthy fuel into my body. Especially after the amount of pies (yes, pies plural) I consumed over Thanksgiving.
